“Every individual matters. Every individual has a role to play. Every individual makes a difference.” ― Jane Goodall

At Holy Family, we strongly believe in nurturing children’s academic and social learning within a safe, engaging environment based on strong connections between school and home. Social and Emotional Learning is at the heart of everything we do. Our HEART values are the cornerstone of our social and emotional curriculum, and our scope and sequence embody the capabilities from the Victorian curriculum with the five principles of Honesty, Empathy, Acceptance, Respect & Trust.

These principles guide our Positive Behaviour for Learning framework which are used to teach students the expected behaviours that promote pro-social behaviour. Explicit instruction teaches and supports students to understand and manage their emotions, care about others, build positive and genuine relationships with their peers and develop pro-social behaviours so they can make responsible decisions in their learning and in their relationships.
