Library

Library Program at Holy Family.
Photo One The students at Holy Family have a weekly library lesson based on literature appreciation. The library teacher will share books with your children and encourage them to develop a love of reading.

The lessons involve learning the library routine and how the library system works, identifying parts of a book and making responses to literature.

As part of the library lessons the children use computer for research and are introduced to web tools and are guided though activities to develop their computer skills. Activities are delivered via our school intranet.

Children will be introduced to a variety of books and are encouraged to borrow books for reading at home.

All children need to bring a library bag to protect the books that they have borrowed. Books need to be returned weekly or re-borrowed.
