Creative Arts Program at Holy Family Doveton
Photo One At Holy Family all students in Years P-6 have weekly Visual Arts lessons, which are taught by the Visual Arts specialist teacher in the art room. The program follows the guidelines for VELS (Victorian Essential Learning Standards) which focuses on creating, making, exploring and responding to the arts. The children learn about exploring the elements of art: line, shape colour pattern and texture as they experience using a variety of art mediums. They are encouraged to develop their own creativity.

The topics for artwork relate to the literature shared in library sessions. Artwork is regularly celebrated by being displayed throughout our school, on our website and in the newsletter.

It is essential that all children must wear a smock to protect their school clothes.
